The Controller of Nigeria Customs Service, Ogun Area 11 Command, Bisi Alade, on Friday said that the command between January and April generated a total sum of N15,191,227,503.82.<\/p>\n

Alade said that this revenue generation represents 40% increase when compared with N9,165,717,162.99k generated within the same period last year.<\/p>\n

He explained that while the total revenue generated as excise stood at N8,333,039,874.82 k, the revenue from the free trade zone is N7,164,777,965.00 k<\/p>\n

The controller disclosed this at a briefing held at the command\u2019s office in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.<\/p>\n

Alade said that this achievement is a testament to the diligence, commitment, and professionalism of the officers and men of the command who have always worked tirelessly to ensure that the command exceeded its revenue targets.<\/p>\n

He maintained that the leap in revenue generation is also indicative of the command\u2019s unwavering commitment to the economic growth and development of the nation<\/p>\n

Alade explained that \u201cThrough our strategic efforts and unified operations, the Ogun II Area Command has generated the sum of N15,191,227,503.82 as revenue collected between January and April 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cInterestingly, this revenue represents about a 40% increase compared to the N9,165,717,162.99 recorded in the corresponding period of 2024\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Customs boss stated that the command also discovered another unauthorised factory that was operating illegally and had been brought under excise control to further boost the revenue generation for the nation.<\/p>\n

Reaffirming the command\u2019s determination to surpass this revenue generation performance in the coming months, Alade said that he would continue to dialogue with the stakeholders and the local business community, forging partnerships with relevant partners and discharging statutory responsibilities of enforcing compliance with government fiscal policy.<\/p>\n

He added that his leadership at the command will always uphold the core mandate of the Customs Service in line with the policy thrust of Comptroller General, Bashir Adeniyi\u2019s principles of consolidation, collaboration and innovation.<\/p>\n
