Angry residents on Saturday morning blocked the Ijebu-Ode\u2013Mojoda\u2013Epe Road to protest new tollgate charges introduced by the Ogun State Government.<\/p>\n

The protesters used tires and wooden planks to barricade the ever-busy dual carriageway, leaving hundreds of passengers stranded.<\/p>\n

The protest, which erupted along the Fari Expressway, stretched and extended towards Mojoda in Epe, Lagos, disrupting traffic flow.<\/p>\n

The protesters were seen chanting solidarity songs with placards.\"\"<\/p>\n

Speaking to one of the trailer drivers, he lamented that exorbitant toll gate collection was killing their business.<\/p>\n

\u201cI paid N3000 just this early morning. How much are we making that they want to collect everything from us?,\u201d The trailer driver said.<\/p>\n

Another commercial driver said, \u201cI am travelling, but I will stay here and join them to protest.<\/p>\n
