A member of the Ekiti State Waste Management Board, Mr Wale Ade-Oba, has publicly criticised Governor Biodun Oyebanji, citing what he described as a lack of meaningful progress despite substantial budgetary allocations to the administration.<\/p>\n
In a statement released by Ade-Oba, he announced his decision to cease working with the Oyebanji-led government. He declared his alignment with the Pro-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, Mr Kayode Ojo, whom he described as a visionary leader with the capacity to transform Ekiti State.<\/p>\n
Ade-Oba alleged that the governor\u2019s frequent absence from the state and pursuit of what he termed an \u201cunclear agenda\u201d has resulted in unproductive governance.<\/p>\n
The statement reads: \u201cI am writing to share with you a decision that may surprise many. As you know, I\u2019ve been serving as an appointee under the current administration led by Governor Biodun Oyebanji. However, after much reflection, I have decided to join forces with Engr. Kayode Ojo is a leader with a vision for a better Ekiti.<\/p>\n
\u201cI believe the administration hasn\u2019t delivered meaningful development to many local government areas, including mine, Irepodun\/Ifelodun.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur party members are being overlooked and undervalued despite their hard work and dedication to the party\u2019s success. Instead, opposition party members who did not contribute to our victory are being appointed to key positions, while our loyal supporters are being ignored.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe governor is often out of the state, pursuing unclear agendas, and this absence is felt in the lack of productivity under the present administration. I believe it\u2019s time for a change.<\/p>\n
\u201cEngr. Kayode Ojo\u2019s leadership style and vision for Ekiti align with my values. I believe his administration would prioritise the needs of our people, recognise the efforts of our party members, and drive development across all local government areas.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am making this change because I want to be part of a government that truly serves the people of Ekiti and values the contributions of its loyal supporters.
