Naija News recalls that in an online post on Saturday, Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, criticised Tinubu\u2019s trips, calling them a \u201cgrave misstep\u201d during a period when Nigeria grapples with severe economic hardship and widespread insecurity. Obi argued that the president\u2019s travel arrangements appear to prioritise political optics over the urgent needs of the Nigerian people.<\/p>\n

However, on Sunday, Fredrick Nwabufo, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Engagement, issued a firm statement defending Tinubu\u2019s diplomatic efforts.
