The Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, was reportedly involved in an accident on Sunday evening along the Daura-Katsina highway.<\/h3>\n

The incident reportedly occurred while the Governor was returning from Daura. However, it remains unclear whether he was coming from the residence of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, whose burial he emotionally attended earlier in the week.<\/p>\n

Initial reports of the accident emerged on social media, with a popular user,\u00a0Mohammed Jammal,<\/strong>\u00a0also known as White Nigerian, posting on \ud835\udd4f that the Governor had sustained a fracture and was receiving treatment.<\/p>\n

\u201cReports indicate that Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State was involved in a car accident while travelling from Daura to Katsina.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cHe sustained a fracture and is currently receiving treatment at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Daura. Thankfully, he has been stabilised,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Jammal wrote.<\/p>\n

The social media post triggered a wave of concern among citizens, with many flooding the comment section with prayers and messages of goodwill.<\/p>\n

However, clarifying the situation later on Sunday night, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor,\u00a0Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed,<\/strong>\u00a0downplayed the severity of the incident and reassured the public that the Governor was stable.<\/p>\n

\u201cKatsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda was involved in a minor road accident this evening along the Daura\u2013Katsina Road, while carrying out his official duties in service to the people of Katsina State,<\/em>\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are pleased to confirm that the Governor is in good health and stable condition, with no serious injuries sustained. As a precautionary measure, the Governor is currently receiving routine medical evaluation at a medical facility, where he is being attended to by qualified medical professionals.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The press secretary added that Governor Radda was in \u201chigh spirits\u201d and thankful for the public\u2019s concern.<\/p>\n

\u201cGovernor Radda remains in high spirits and expresses his gratitude to Almighty Allah for His protection, as well as Katsina citizens and well-wishers for their prayers and concern,<\/em>\u201d Mohammed said.<\/p>\n

Governor Radda\u2019s accident comes a week after the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, whose passing has thrown the state into mourning.<\/p>\n
