{"id":7917,"date":"2025-07-26T18:00:51","date_gmt":"2025-07-26T18:00:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beadysword.com.ng\/blog\/?p=7917"},"modified":"2025-07-26T18:00:59","modified_gmt":"2025-07-26T18:00:59","slug":"police-bust-kidnapping-gang-in-kaduna-arrest-six-suspects-recover-ak-47-rifles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beadysword.com.ng\/blog\/2025\/07\/26\/police-bust-kidnapping-gang-in-kaduna-arrest-six-suspects-recover-ak-47-rifles\/","title":{"rendered":"Police Bust Kidnapping Gang In Kaduna, Arrest Six Suspects, Recover Ak-47 Rifles"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wrapper\">\n<div class=\"inn_mid_cont\">\n<div class=\"newsxx_left\">\n<div class=\"content\">\n<div class=\"mg_mod_news\">\n<div id=\"bodytext\">\n<p>Officers of Kaduna State Police Command have reportedly busted a notorious kidnapping syndicate operating in Jema\u2019a Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n<p>It is learnt that six suspects were arrested and four guns including three fabricated AK-47s rifles were recovered by the police.<\/p>\n<p>The Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Mansir Hassan, who made this known in a statement said the operation followed a distress report made by a resident of Ungwan Ninzom in Jagindi Tasha village, whose son, Hussaini Ibrahim, was abducted by armed men.<\/p>\n<p>The police spokesperson said operatives from the Kafanchan Division swiftly responded to the incident, launching a coordinated manhunt.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn 24th February, in a follow-up operation, the victim, Hussaini Ibrahim, was rescued from a nearby bush with a gunshot wound on his leg,\u201d Hassan said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was rushed to a nearby clinic for medical attention and reunited with his family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said four suspects identified as 30-year-old Umar Yusuf Jabiri of Jagindi Tasha, 31-year-old Buhari Muhammad, a.k.a. General of Bayya village, 51-year-old Ahmadu Nasiru of Gidan Waya, and 50-year-old Zakari Saleh, also of Gidan Waya, were initially arrested in connection with the abduction.<\/p>\n<p>Hassan said police operatives recovered one English-type AK-47 rifle and three locally fabricated versions from the suspects.<\/p>\n<p>He added that investigations are ongoing to apprehend remaining gang members, after which the suspects will face prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate operation, he said operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit led by CSP Sani Zuntu intercepted a suspicious waybill on July 23, 2025, around 6:00 p.m. in Kaduna.<\/p>\n<p>The consignment, which originated from Jos and was destined for Gusau, Zamfara State, concealed a fabricated AK-47 rifle inside a sack.<\/p>\n<p>Hassan said two individuals who attempted to collect the package in Gusau were arrested.<\/p>\n<p>They were identified as Abdulmumin Sani and Naziru Musa.
