The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, Bayo Ojulari, has allegedly been forced to sign a resignation letter.<\/p>\n

According to the report, Ojulari was hijacked on Friday and pressured to sign a resignation letter by Ola Olukoyede, chairman of the anti-graft EFCC, and Adeola Ajayi, director-general of the State Security Service.<\/p>\n

It was reported that the alleged incident occurred on Friday, according to sources who spoke with the news platform.<\/p>\n

Sources said Mr Ojulari was repeatedly questioned about what he might know of Olatimbo Ayinde, a British-Nigerian oil businesswoman who has recently emerged as one of the most powerful forces steering the Tinubu administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cMr Ojulari told us he didn\u2019t know Olatimbo Ayinde,\u201d the source, who preferred anonymity, told the press<\/p>\n

However, the spokesman of EFCC, Dele Oyewale, has not officially responded to the enquiry on the matter.<\/p>\n

Also, Mr Ojulari did not immediately return multiple requests seeking comments about the development on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Recall that NNPCL had recently raised alarm over sabotage of the state-owned oil firm\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n

Ojulari was appointed in April 2025 by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. However, the presidency debunked the claim, saying there is no such thing.<\/p>\n

Nigeria\u2019s presidency has said that the Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Bayo Ojulari, has not been forced to sign his resignation letter.<\/p>\n

Sunday Dare, a presidential spokesperson, made this clarification in a terse statement to a journalist on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

His clarification comes as reports emerged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Department of State Services allegedly forced Ojulari to sign his resignation letter.<\/p>\n
