{"id":8392,"date":"2025-08-21T16:02:46","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T16:02:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beadysword.com.ng\/blog\/?p=8392"},"modified":"2025-08-21T16:02:54","modified_gmt":"2025-08-21T16:02:54","slug":"aviation-authority-grills-ibom-air-crew-comfort-emmanson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beadysword.com.ng\/blog\/2025\/08\/21\/aviation-authority-grills-ibom-air-crew-comfort-emmanson\/","title":{"rendered":"Aviation Authority Grills Ibom Air Crew, Comfort Emmanson"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-body-top\" class=\"left relative\">\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\" class=\"left relative\">\n<h4>The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has interrogated the crew members involved in the recent controversial Ibom Air incident.<\/h4>\n<p>The viral incident saw a female passenger, comfort emmanson, brutalised, publicly stripped at the Lagos airport after a heated altercation with the airline\u2019s air hostess.<\/p>\n<p>This was disclosed in a brief statement on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday afternoon by the Director of Public Affairs &amp; Consumer Protection at the NCAA, Michael Achimugu.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"left relative\">\n<p><em>\u201cYesterday in Abuja, the NCAA team met with Julie Edwards and other members of the crew involved in the Comfort Emanson incident as part of investigations into that event<\/em>,\u201d Achimugu stated.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the NCAA\u2019s directorates of Aviation Security, Operations, Licensing and Training Standards, Legal, and Consumer Protection \u201care collaborating to ensure a proper conclusion to this investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to him, \u201c<em>Later today (Thursday), Comfort Emmanson, the passenger, would be meeting with the Authority. She is being accompanied by her lawyer.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>However, in a subsequent post, Achimugu said, \u201c<em>NCAA has held a meeting with Comfort Emanson, the Ibom Air passenger.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Recall that drama erupted at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on August 10, 2025, when the passenger was captured on camera assaulting a flight attendant and airport officials.<\/p>\n<p>Ibom Air had issued a statement defending its crew, maintaining that Emmanson had \u201crefused to comply with repeated instructions\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>However, Emmanson\u2019s legal representatives accused the airline of lying, stressing that their client was a victim of \u201carbitrary and degrading treatment\u201d in violation of her fundamental rights.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has interrogated the crew members involved in the recent controversial Ibom Air incident.
