He argued that such actions send a message to Nigerians that the political elites don\u2019t care about them and are only interested in power-grabbing.<\/p>\n
Speaking on Tuesday during an appearance on Channels Television, Abdullahi said the early announcement by the PDP and APC suggests that the two parties are either playing a predetermined game or trying to lure particular individuals who\u00a0fit the description to become their presidential candidates.<\/p>\n

Th<\/strong>e APC and PDP have zoned their 2027 presidential ticket to the south.<\/p>\n It would be recalled that on Monday, the PDP, after its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja,\u00a0 zoned the party’s presidential ticket to the south.<\/p>\n Earlier, the APC leadership had also on various occasions endorsed\u00a0President Bola Tinubu<\/strong>\u00a0to be the party\u2019s sole presidential candidate in 2027.<\/p>\n Speaking against the background, Abdullahi questioned the rush by both parties in zoning their tickets.<\/p>\n \u201cThe general election is still in 2027; it\u2019s still two years away.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWhy are we so preoccupied and behaving in such a way that Nigerians begin to look at the political elite across the political divides, that we don\u2019t care about them?<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWhy are they taking the decision two years before the general election?\u201d he asked.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cThey are very experienced people, and they know the implications of showing their way too early. So, it\u2019s either they are playing the predetermined game or batting some people to come around because they\u2019ve been shopping around for who to be the presidential candidate of the party,<\/em>\u201d the ADC spokesperson stated.<\/p>\n Speaking on who would likely emerge as the flagbearer for the ADC \u00a0in the 2027 election, Abdullahi assured that the party has many capable and qualified aspirants and will provide a level playing ground for a candidate to emerge.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen people say that the coalition was put together for a particular candidate running elections, in the papers yesterday, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar came out to say he is going to run for president.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cSo, if this whole thing was put together for him, why would he need to come out to say he is running for president.
