A U.S. District Court also ordered him to repay <strong data-start=\"570\" data-end=\"586\">$4.4 million<\/strong>, forfeit his Medina home, and serve <strong data-start=\"623\" data-end=\"660\">three years of supervised release<\/strong> after jail.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"676\" data-end=\"955\">According to prosecutors, Oloyede and an accomplice, <strong data-start=\"729\" data-end=\"750\">Edward Oluwasanmi<\/strong>, filed fake applications for U.S. government loans meant to help small businesses survive the pandemic. Oluwasanmi was sentenced to just over two years behind bars and must repay about <strong data-start=\"936\" data-end=\"952\">$1.2 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"957\" data-end=\"997\">Not His First Run-In with U.S. Law<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1271\">Court records show this isn\u2019t Oloyede\u2019s first conviction. Back in the early 1990s, he and an immigration lawyer were found guilty of selling false documents to help immigrants stay in the United States illegally. The U.S. Court of Appeals upheld that conviction in 1992.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1273\" data-end=\"1309\">Tension Back Home in Ipetumodu<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1311\" data-end=\"1511\">News of the latest sentence has thrown Oloyede\u2019s hometown into confusion.
