The Tin Can Island Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced a revenue haul of \u20a6159 billion for August 2025, underscoring the impact of technology-driven reforms on port operations.<\/p>\n

Customs Area Controller (CAC) Comptroller Frank Onyeka disclosed this during the decoration of newly promoted officers of the command, where about 89 percent of personnel received new ranks.\"\"<\/p>\n

Onyeka attributed the command\u2019s impressive performance to the successful deployment of the B\u2019Odogwu system, a digital platform that integrates customs and port processes under one interface.<\/p>\n

According to him, the system has transformed cargo clearance, valuation, and trade monitoring, significantly boosting revenue.<\/p>\n

\u201cB\u2019Odogwu is doing well, and it will do better. It has come to stay,\u201d Onyeka said, describing the platform as a game-changer for customs operations.<\/p>\n

Among the officers decorated was the command\u2019s Public Relations Officer, Oscar Ivara. Onyeka praised the leadership of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, for driving modernisation in the service and commended the command\u2019s officers for their dedication.<\/p>\n

He urged the newly promoted officers to sustain the momentum of excellence.
