{"id":8840,"date":"2025-09-24T09:12:06","date_gmt":"2025-09-24T09:12:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beadysword.com.ng\/blog\/?p=8840"},"modified":"2025-09-24T09:12:15","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T09:12:15","slug":"senator-natasha-vows-not-to-apologise-after-entering-office","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beadysword.com.ng\/blog\/2025\/09\/24\/senator-natasha-vows-not-to-apologise-after-entering-office\/","title":{"rendered":"Senator Natasha Vows Not To Apologise After Entering Office"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mvp-content-body-top\" class=\"left relative\">\n<div id=\"mvp-content-main\" class=\"left relative\">\n<h3>The lawmaker representing Kogi Central senatorial district,\u00a0\u00a0Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan, on Tuesday regained access to her office at the Senate wing of the National Assembly, declaring that she would not apologise for what she described as her stand against injustice.<\/h3>\n<p>Speaking with journalists shortly after an official of the Sergeant-at-Arms unsealed her office, Akpoti-Uduaghan said she was cautious about making extensive comments because some issues were still pending.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI am going to be quite limited with what I\u2019ll say. In the weeks to come, I will have much to say,\u201d<\/em> she noted.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"left relative\">\n<p>The lawmaker expressed concern about reports suggesting that a motion may be raised to compel her to apologise as part of the conditions for her resumption.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSo, I am actually worried as to what apology they expect from me. You can\u2019t apologise for an injustice,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0she stressed.<\/p>\n<p>The Kogi senator maintained that her suspension was unjust and vowed not to bow to pressure.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIn everything, it just shows that sometimes it\u2019s good to put the institutions to the test. We can\u2019t be cowed in the face of injustice.
