Leader of the UK Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, has announced what she described as the \u201ctoughest reforms Britain has ever seen\u201d in immigration policy, unveiling an aggressive new border strategy aimed at detaining and deporting 150,000 illegal migrants annually.<\/p>\n

In a video message posted on her X account on Sunday, Badenoch said the Radical Borders Plan would introduce a new Removals Force, modelled after the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement, to overhaul the UK\u2019s border enforcement system.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy message is clear: if you\u2019re here illegally, you will be detained and deported,\u201d she declared in the caption.<\/p>\n

Badenoch, who has positioned herself as a hardliner on immigration, sharply criticised both Conservative and Labour governments for their handling of the migration crisis.<\/p>\n

She accused Labour of presiding over record levels of illegal crossings and wasting public funds on asylum accommodations.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, I\u2019m launching our Radical Borders Plan, the toughest reforms Britain has ever seen to border laws and operations.<\/p>\n

\u201cSuccessive governments have failed on immigration. Labour promised to smash the gangs.<\/p>\n

\u201cInstead, in just a year, they delivered record small boat crossings, over 50,000 illegal arrivals, 32,000 people in asylum hotels, billions wasted.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s pure weakness. Britain needs a serious, credible plan and the backbone to deliver it,\u201d Badenoch said.<\/p>\n

It was stated that under the proposed plan, asylum claims from illegal entrants will be banned, the Human Rights Act repealed, and the UK will withdraw from the European Convention on Human Rights.<\/p>\n

Badenoch said all illegal arrivals would be deported within a week, with legal barriers to mass deportations removed and visa sanctions imposed on countries that refuse to repatriate their citizens.<\/p>\n

She added that the new enforcement agency would \u201cshut down the asylum hotel racket,\u201d save taxpayers billions, and restore public trust in Britain\u2019s borders.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnly the Conservatives have a serious, credible plan to deliver stronger borders.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you come here illegally, you will be deported,\u201d Badenoch concluded.<\/p>\n

However, in an interview on the BBC\u2019s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, Badenoch drew criticism for dismissing questions about where deported migrants would be sent.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m tired of all of these irrelevant questions about where they should go.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey will go back to where they should be or another country, but they should not be here,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

When pressed further, she added: \u201cThey will go back to where they came from.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Sky News, the new Removals Force will replace the existing Home Office Immigration Enforcement unit and will be granted sweeping powers, including the use of facial recognition technology without prior warning, to identify and remove undocumented migrants.<\/p>\n

If approved, Badenoch\u2019s plan would mark one of the most radical overhauls of UK immigration policy in decades, intensifying the political debate over border control and human rights protections.<\/p>\n
