Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has accused her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of harassment and intimidation, saying family members were arrested in an effort to force her back into rehabilitation and his home<\/p>\n
In an emotional Instagram story shared on Monday, the 24-year-old star wrote that her \u201cbig brother\u201d and \u201cbig sister\u201d had been arrested and that her younger sister might be detained unless she returns home and \u201creturns to rehab,\u201d as Nwoko allegedly demands. \u201cSomeone please, help me! I feel like I\u2019m losing my mind,\u201d she wrote, adding that she will speak out in time about what she claims he put her through.<\/p>\n
Daniels also accused the senator of smearing her reputation by calling her a drug addict. \u201cYou said I\u2019m a drug addict\u2026 A prostitute? But I will speak one day and tell the world of your involvement with everything! Leave my family alone, Ned! And leave me alone too!\u201d she wrote, lamenting the collapse of their relationship and the public humiliation it has brought. \u201cThis is so freaking embarrassing! Hard girl like me crying,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
The allegations follow a viral video that surfaced online on October 18, 2025, in which Regina is heard saying she cannot stand the violence she says she endured in the marriage. The clip\u2014showing at least one man holding a stick\u2014prompted widespread concern and discussion about possible domestic abuse.<\/p>\n
Senator Nwoko responded publicly on his verified X account on October 19, 2025, denying he ever assaulted Daniels and accusing her of struggling with drug and alcohol abuse that, he says, has caused erratic and violent behaviour. In a statement titled \u201cRegina\u2019s Unprovoked Carnage and Rampage in My House and in My Absence,\u201d the lawmaker alleged Daniels assaulted staff, vandalised property and endangered lives during recent incidents.<\/p>\n
Nwoko, who is married to six women, said none of his other wives had accused him of violence and claimed he had set a condition that Regina continue a rehabilitation programme\u2014either in Asokoro or abroad (he named Jordan)\u2014where, he said, she would have less access to substances. He also alleged a nurse exposed her substance use and identified Regina\u2019s brother, \u201cSammy,\u201d as her main supplier.<\/p>\n
Regina\u2019s brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman\u2014known as Sammy West\u2014responded with a forceful Instagram post accusing the senator of physically assaulting his sister. \u201cAnywhere wey man dey beat woman\u2026 I go fight with my blood,\u201d he wrote, adding he would not tolerate violence against her.<\/p>\n
