The presidency has assured Nigerians that the government of President\u00a0Bola Tinubu remains committed to the welfare of the citizens and residents of Nigeria.<\/p>\n
The assurance was given by the Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Social Media,\u00a0Dada Olusegun<\/strong>, on Monday as he excitedly shared some of the programmes the government is set to implement in the year 2026.<\/p>\n According to him, 2026 promises to be a key year in the history of Nigeria with so many landmark initiatives that will define our future for a very long time, set to kick off under President Tinubu\u2019s administration.\u201d<\/p>\n The presidential media aide, therefore, urged Nigerians to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu government.<\/p>\n He listed some of the key policies and programmes the Tinubu administration is set to unveil in 2026, including the commencement of new tax reforms, the recapitalisation of commercial banks, and a national census, among others.<\/p>\n Below are the full details:<\/p>\n \u2013 The commencement of the transformational Tax Reform Acts, which is expected to enhance Nigeria\u2019s economic competitiveness and grow our revenue base.<\/p>\n \u2013 \u2060The full recapitalisation of commercial banks so they can become more viable and provide the needed support for the economy in terms of capital provision. This is expected also to take the Consumer Credit Scheme to the next level as banks get more involved in the provision of credits for everyday consumption.<\/p>\n \u2013 \u2060The full recapitalisation of the Bank of Agriculture in a bid to improve access to capital for farmers across the country and make agriculture a mainstay in our economy.<\/p>\n \u2013 \u2060National Census that will not only give us an accurate figure of the population but further enhance the database for improved security and economic planning.
