The Executive Chairman of Mopamuro Local Government Area in Kogi State, Hon. Ademola Bello, has presented a proposed budget estimate of N7,082,870,940 billion to the council legislatures for consideration and approval.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The budget, tagged “Budget of Hope and Prosperity”, aims to improve the living standard of Mopamuro residents, focusing on social development, infrastructure, youth and women empowerment.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Bello highlighted key allocations: Personnel cost (N1,787,947,930), overhead cost (N1,814,297,570), and capital project (N3,480,625,440).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He assured citizens of his administration’s commitment to prioritiSing their welfare, ensuring timely payment of salaries, and enhancing the overall quality of life.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The budget target key areas, including:<\/p>\n

Infrastructure Development: Upgrading roads, markets, and public facilities. Social Development: Enhancing education, healthcare, and social services, Economic Growth: Empowering youth and women, promoting entrepreneurship, and attracting investments and Security: Strengthening local security architecture to ensure a safe environment.<\/p>\n

The Legislative Council Leader, Rt. Hon. Odunayo Olupeka, pledged the council’s support for the budget’s successful implementation, promising thorough oversight and transparency.<\/p>\n

Bello reassured residents of his commitment to neutralising criminal activities and urged citizens to join hands with his administration to make Mopamuro an exemplary local government.<\/p>\n

The Chairman praised Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his outstanding achievements and support in strengthening local government security architecture.<\/p>\n
