Iwuanyanwu, George  have been awarded the life time award of daily independent newspaper, during its 2023 award ceremony  which held on the 4th of may 2024 at ,Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos

It was an array of the crème dela crème of the society at the 2023 Daily independent newspaper  Year’ Award on Saturday  4th may 2024 as prominent Nigerians that have distinguished themselves and made impact carted away with  awards in different categories.

Chief Olabode George  a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who was honoured with lifetime achievement award , has called for concerted and collective efforts towards rebuilding Nigeria, saying this is not the time for politics.

Chief Emmanuel iwuananwu, the president general of Ohaneze worldwide who was represent by his daughter, Ihekanma  accompanied by Ohaneze Lagos branch members, praised the daily independent newspaper for the award, saying that this award will challenged her father to do more for  the nation.

Chief George spoke while receiving his Lifetime Achievement Award, also commended Independent Newspapers Limited for honouring him.
