The Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College (NCCSC) in Gwagwalada, Abuja, has celebrated a significant milestone with the graduation of 50 officers from Junior Course 21. This intensive three-month training program was designed to bolster middle management capabilities within the Service, enhancing leadership and operational expertise.

The celebration kicked off with a regimental dinner on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, setting the stage for the formal graduation ceremony held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the College’s Ahmad Makarfi Hall.

Representing the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, Deputy Comptroller-General (DCG) Suleiman Chiroma, who oversees Training and Doctrine, commended the graduates. He encouraged them to embody the Service’s core values of discipline, professionalism, and integrity.

“This training has equipped you with vital knowledge to assume higher responsibilities,” DCG Chiroma emphasised. “Your contributions are now more crucial to achieving our strategic goals and national development.”

College Commandant ACG Oluyomi Adebakin also congratulated the officers, reaffirming the College’s commitment to excellence. “We have invested heavily in your development, and you must uphold discipline and reject mediocrity,” she stated.

During the ceremony, certificates and the Passed Junior Staff Course (PJSC) qualifications were awarded. The graduates expressed appreciation for the training’s impact, highlighting how it enhanced their leadership and operational skills.

These newly qualified officers are now poised to take on key roles in advancing the Nigeria Customs Service’s mission across various commands nationwide, ready to contribute to the country’s economic security and integrity.
