The Port and Terminal Multi-Services Limited (PTML) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has reported a strong performance for January, recording major seizures and generating ₦44.06 billion in revenue.

During the month, Customs officers at PTML intercepted arms and ammunition. The seized items were handed over to the National Committee on Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW) for further investigation and necessary action.

In addition to the security operation, the command recorded ₦44.06 billion in revenue for January, reflecting effective cargo monitoring, improved compliance, and efficient trade facilitation at the port.

The handover of the seized arms highlights continued cooperation between the Nigeria Customs Service and other security agencies. This collaboration is aimed at reducing the spread of illegal weapons and strengthening national security.

The January results show PTML Command’s dual focus on revenue generation and enforcement, supporting Nigeria’s broader efforts to secure its borders while promoting lawful trade.
