While Leadership Posts Diplomats, We Post Obituaries: By Hon. (Dr.) Sunny Oby Maduka (DSM)

While the presidency remains fixated on the architectural aesthetics of power, Nigeria is decomposing. There is a grotesque symmetry currently defining the Tinubu administration: for every high-society diplomatic posting or policy announced in Abuja, a fresh grave is dug in the hinterlands.

In Borno, the silence of the state is deafening following a savage Boko Haram ambush that left dozens of our gallant soldiers decimated. These men, abandoned in the scorched earth of the North, were slaughtered while the elites they protect were busy measuring drapes for their new embassies.

The “Renewed Hope” agenda has become a recurring nightmare where the life of a Nigerian soldier is worth less than the business-class ticket of a Diplomat or a political appointee.

The rot isn’t confined to the frontlines. In the “secure” enclave of Kubwa, bandits operate with 16 Nigerians under their capability.

In Ebonyi, the sanctity of the traditional stool was desecrated with the abduction and reported murder of Eze Igwe on his way to church.

We are witnessing a regime obsessed with the glamour of international optics while the domestic reality is a charnel house.

To prioritize the “luxury life” of 69 elites abroad while our military is ambushed and our fathers are murdered is not just incompetence, it is moral bankruptcy.

Abuja is feasting with Diplomats while Nigeria is being buried without any iota of remorse or em­pathy from our conscienceless vampires in government.

What a country and its hardened leadership…even as I come in PEACE.
