The price of liquefied petroleum gas, known as cooking gas, surged for the second time in three days amid the Eid al-Adha celebration in Nigeria.

A market survey by Beadysword blog showed that the price of a kilogram of cooking gas rose from N1500 to between N1700 and N1800 across different locations in Abuja and its environs.

This means that cooking gas prices were adjusted upward by N200 and N300.

The latest price hike comes two days after the LPG price was increased to N1500 per kg from N1200.

in three days, cooking gas prices surged by 50 per cent.

Recall that the Nigerian Association of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers blamed the sudden rise in the price of cooking gas on scarcity, urging government intervention.
