The Federal Government is facing mounting pressure to apply the same successful tactics used in the Oyo rescue operation to other regions facing similar security challenges.

Following the rescue of 44 abducted pupils and teachers in Oyo State, leaders from northern Nigeria and families of victims in troubled states like Borno and Kaduna are calling on the government to replicate the intelligence-led strategies that made the operation possible.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has finalized its ticket for the 2027 general elections, confirming President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima as the party’s candidates. First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has also urged popular Nigerian musicians to set up charitable foundations aimed at supporting the underprivileged.
