Lagos Maritime Week 2026: Turning Talk into Action
Lagos Maritime Week returns this year from September 8 to 10, bringing together more than 500 maritime leaders at the Lagos Oriental Hotel. The focus: moving Africa’s blue economy beyond policy statements and into real trade, security, and investment.
The theme is “From Policy to Practice: Powering Maritime Excellence,” which lines up with the IMO’s World Maritime Day spotlight on Africa. Expect less talk and more deal-making across the sector.
Who’s coming and what’s on the table
The lineup includes government officials, industry leaders, and international representatives. Key discussions will cover Gulf of Guinea security, port development, and the role of women in maritime. Notable speakers include the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy and heads of various maritime agencies.
Beyond the panels
It’s not only about stage sessions. There will be business networking, mentoring opportunities for young professionals, and a maritime excursion for hands-on exposure.
Registration is open for stakeholders who want a say in shaping the future of Africa’s maritime industry.
