Osun Police Arrest SSG and Others Over Alleged Vote Buying
The Osun State Police Command has arrested several people, including the Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye, over alleged vote buying in Osogbo.
The operation was based on credible intelligence and targeted a suspect linked to serious electoral crimes. Authorities recovered N4,810,500, along with electoral materials and other evidence.
The police are now investigating possible violations of the Electoral Act 2022, including voter bribery and criminal conspiracy. Officials say the findings raise serious concerns about electoral integrity and public security.
The command has promised a thorough investigation and prosecution where necessary, stressing that no one is above the law.
