President Bola Tinubu has held closed-door talks with governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to sort out the controversy around the newly released Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) list.

The list sparked criticism for two main reasons. First, some of the people on it are facing corruption allegations. Second, many felt the party itself wasn’t properly involved in putting the list together.

The meetings started on August 23, 2026, and stretched over two days. So far, there’s no official word on what changes, if any, were made to the list by the end of the latest meeting.

Sources say the APC took the list down from its social media pages, and a revised version is now waiting for the president’s approval.

On another note, the party also wants to beef up its social intervention programs as it gears up for the January 2027 elections.
