NIMASA DG Mobereola Briefs President Tinubu on Two Years of Progress
The Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Dayo Mobereola, has met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House in Abuja to discuss the development of Nigeria’s maritime sector.
During the meeting, Dr. Mobereola updated the President on what NIMASA has achieved over the past two years. He highlighted the progress the agency has recorded and also raised some of the challenges currently facing the industry.
In response, President Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to growing Nigeria’s maritime industry. He said the creation of the Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy was a deliberate move to help the sector contribute more to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
While commending NIMASA for the progress so far, the President urged Dr. Mobereola and his team not to relax, encouraging them to keep pushing forward.
