Emeka Rollas Ejezie Recognized As Nollywood Personality Of The Year 2024 At The SUN Awards.

On March 1, 2025, Emeka Rollas Ejezie, the National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), was honored as the Nollywood Personality of the Year 2024 at the prestigious SUN Awards held at Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. Joining him in recognition were notable figures such as Regina Daniels, senators, governors and other esteemed Nigerians, for his innovative leadership in Nollywood.

Emeka’s ascent to the presidency of the AGN is a testament to his hard work, resourcefulness, impactful leadership, and what many believe to be divine favor.

Those who know him well often say that had he not chosen the path of acting and emerged as a leading figure in Nollywood, he might have found himself in a high-ranking position within the clergy of the Catholic Church, given his prior enrollment in a seminary and his unwavering passion for making a positive impact on lives and others.

In addition to his acting career, Emeka Rollas is the CEO of Rolling Pictures Ltd. and Booben Rolling Pictures, both of which engage in film production as well as public relations and advertising consultancy. Since launching his career upon graduating from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko in 1993, he has appeared in over 100 films.

As Emeka Rollas continues his tenure as the AGN President, he has unveiled an ambitious program for 2025. First elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2022, he has remained dedicated to empowering actors and elevating the guild’s profile.

Under his leadership, the AGN is set to launch a groundbreaking super app on March 13, designed to streamline membership payments and other services. On the same day, the guild will inaugurate a fully furnished complex that will serve as its National Headquarters in Abuja.

From March 15-19, the AGN will collaborate with the Pan-African Film Development Foundation to host the inaugural South Africa and Nigeria Film Week in Johannesburg. Following this, on March 19, the guild will roll out a health awareness campaign titled “AGN Walk for Life,” engaging all 34 state chapters in a vital health initiative.

Moreover, April 10 has been designated as Junior Pope Day of Safety and Occupational Hazards, marking a significant day where all actors will pause filming to reflect on safety practices and the importance of precautionary measures within the industry.

In July, the AGN will host the 2nd Nollywood and African Films Investment Summit & Awards (NAFISA), followed by the third edition of the AGN International Festival (AGNIF) in November 2025.

Emeka Rollas expressed pride and gratitude for the accomplishments of the guild, reaffirming his unwavering commitment to empowering actors and steering Nollywood toward greater heights. as such, the award is a well-deserved honour for Emeka Rollas Ejezie.
