Human rights lawyer Femi Falana has announced plans to take legal action against the Federal Government over the recent allocation of luxury houses to judges in Abuja’s Katampe district. He described the move as discriminatory and illegal.

According to Falana, giving exclusive housing benefits to judges violates the principle of equality. He pointed out that other public servants—including university lecturers and long-serving civil servants—do not receive similar treatment.

Falana said that while judges need accommodation, so do other essential public servants. He also highlighted the gap in benefits between former governors now in the National Assembly and regular civil servants.

He is calling for a fair and inclusive approach to housing that covers all public workers. If the government does not address these privileges, Falana intends to push for legal action.
